As Mayor of Lebanon, I proudly welcome you to our town. We are celebrating our Bicentennial throughout 2019 and invite you join us for the many concert events, Kid’s Day, town wide yard sale, and many other activities during this time. Our Bicentennial Committee has worked hard this past year planning events for all age groups and interests. We are located in “The Heart of Southwest Virginia” where you will experience natural beauty, an atmosphere of growth and a wonderful place to raise a family.
We have worked with our county and regional governmental agencies to attract and maintain many manufacturing and technology companies to our town and county. These entities are providing many of our citizens with employment opportunities that allow them to raise and provide for their families. Currently, we are working with the CPPD staff to carry our recent award of $ 1,000,000 from the Community Development Block Grant Program to revitalize our historic downtown and its businesses. We are also beginning a project that will completely repair and update our Community Center Pool for our citizens and their children which will be completed and ready for use this summer.
Upon visiting our town, it is our hope that you will feel welcome here and experience the best of both worlds of growth and affordable living.
